BikePort was founded in 2017 by Marco Steiger and Stefano Bergamaschi, who were motivated, with their over two years of experience as guides and instructors, to revolutionise the biking offer in Ticino, - from road bikes to mountain bikes, classic or electric - through the provision of new, high-quality services oriented towards both private individuals and companies or institutions.
Today, the company has expanded, consolidated its relationships with specific partners and has become the reference point in Ticino for:
bicycle and e-bike rental in partnership with Rent a Bike AG, the Swiss leader in this field;
guided MTB, E-MTB and road bike tours of one or more days for individuals, small groups and companies (team building);
skill and safe riding courses for children and adults, thanks to our Swiss Cycling Guide and Youth+Sports trained staff;
creation of infrastructure for street furniture specifically for bikers, such as bicycle parking, charging stations, playgrounds, etc., with the support of our expert partners in this field;
managing tourism projects and developing content to improve the offer related to the bike world;
technical advice and through our partners the construction of new mountain bike trails (trail building) and the maintenance of existing hiking and biking trails to improve their sustainability.
