A tour to discover the main fortifications that characterise Bellinzona and its surroundings, including the Castles of Bellinzona, recognised in 2000 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Forts of Hunger, a set of buildings that are part of the history of 19th century Europe.

The route takes you along the Piano di Magadino, along quiet roads through the surrounding hills and countryside, past grazing horses and waterways, in particular the Ticino River. Let yourself be intrigued by the numerous farms you will find along the way, where you can stop to taste some local products!
